i am actually quite excited about tomorrow (sat)'s adventure.. 6 hours drive to Dubbo.. it is North-West of Sydney.. even further past the Blue Mountains =) its gonna be exciting =)

we did a little studying on the indigenous people.. watched this real-story movie .. it is about the Stolen Generation.. aboriginal kids were taken away from their families and were put into homes.. one way of looking the matter is, the govt was trying to educate them hoping to improve their future lives.. another way is, imagine you are a mother, would you allow someone (of a different race) take your child away from you ? and you would never see your child ever again.. of course there were cases of ill-treatment; there were also some who were thankful for being given a chance to be educated; some are simply unhappy about not able to find their roots (family) etc.. anyway, the movie is about the determination of this young indigenous girl who managed to find her way back to her mum by traveling along this extremely long fence.. if you are wondering, the meaning of this fence is not as simple as it sounds.. it is about colour discrimination.. a race being superior to other races..

anyway, i better get some sleep.. was planning to study on the way there (2 exams next week).. haha.. hopefully, i dont doze off.. hahaha..

can you believe that one month has passed since the beijing olympics opening ceremony ? that is how fast time is flying..

i am going on a service project to Dubbo which is 6 hours drive away from Sydney.. will be leaving on the saturday and return on monday.. gonna be exciting i guess.. i get to see real indigenous kids and interact with them.. how can one stay in aussie land and not experience the outback ? anyway.. as interesting as it sounds, it is gonna cost me a lot of sleep sacrifice.. =| i had a mid-exam on tuesday and thursday and assignments due.. so it means that i hav to rush them now since i wont be able to do any preparation over the weekend.. also, safety is another issue.. it is afterall the outback.. where people are not brought up like the way we were.. so.. will be alert and cautious..

but i will be in good hands.. =)

okie, better get back to work.. feel soo nerdy >.<
